Spring is a time of newness,
Newness of everything.
Blue skies,
Cool breezes,
Flowers with so many colors,
Buds, blueberries, strawberries too.
Oh, all the things
I can think about springtime!
More than I can imagine!
New grass,
Roses,
Colors in the sky like
Blue, red, orange, and yellow,
The steaming creek,
And the blowing wind!
It smells like a dream,
A dream of fresh grass
And animals just coming out.
Oh, the wonderful things
God has made!
Dear Lewis and Clark,
I am a great missions helper. These are some things I like that we might have in common. I love to search around and have an adventure, even though I am not a hunter like you. I sure like the idea of eating food. My favorite is chicken. I would not be in favor of taking its guts out and all that stuff though.
I think Indians like Sacagawea are smart. Thomas Jefferson sounds like a good man. Did you get to finish the mission? Was the Missouri River pretty? Prairie dogs are cool. We do not have them where I live. Did buffalo have good meat? What was the Indians reaction when they saw York? Was York helpful to your mission? How long did it take to go from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean?
If the President of the United States asked me to go on an exploration, I would want to go to Liberia and ride a horse. I would shop, and I would teach school or go help an orphanage. I would do whatever they needed help with, like helping in the garden or helping to make the food.
Your friend,
Adventurer
1. Awesome riding lessons going on rivers, streams, and other fantastic things
2. The barn cat that likes to lick my finger
3. Riding in the saddle
4. The goats, pigs, and cows that like to protect their babies
5. Tickling licks by my horse
6. The peeping birds in the trees
7. The caterpillars climbing up my knee
8. The adventure of riding a horse that feels like I am in Heaven
9. The blueberry picking while I’m on the trail
In my bathroom, I found
A toothbrush, toothpaste,
And a rubber ducky that even has a name,
A bathtub, my window,
And a nightlight my Dad leaves on,
Leotards that look like tights,
My mom’s snow globe that was made with love,
A Christmas tree we have had all our lives,
A calendar with dates that tell me when my birthday is,
A TV, so we have it when we take a bath,
A table and a chair with a phone,
My own secret hideout that is so cool
And has all my secrets,
Shampoo for scrubbing,
A tiara, and . . . . .
Oh, did I tell you?
I am a princess in a mini castle.
Please pretend you don’t know my secret
Because I am on a mission to save the world!
First, you need eight or more players. Next, you need a beach ball. After that, you will split up and have half of the players as one team. Later, you will need a net or a box or something to stack up to make a wall. After that, you will stack the wall at a level you can reach and toss to the other side. If you get it on the other side without another team player stealing, it is a score. If you do not get it to the other side and it lands on your side of the wall, it is not a point. Then it goes to the other team. When the players get as many points as the ref wants to have, the game ends. The ref is someone who tells if it is a score or not and when it is halftime. Finally, the team with the most points or times it got to the other side with no one catching it wins.
A Mid Vermont
Psalm of Praise
written by all
of the preschoolers
through sixth graders,
along with many teachers
and parents
God is like a strong wind,
Powerful and mighty.
God is like a soft wind,
Gentle and refreshing.
God is like an eraser,
for he erases all our sins.
God is like the full moon
because He is big and bright
and directs us
through dark places.
Jesus is like stairs
because He leads us to God
from earth to Heaven.
God is a turtle shell
because He is a strong protector
and He shelters us from harm.
God is a shade
by the way He protects us
from the world
and shades us
from those who may tempt us.
God wrote His love letter to us
with a permanent marker
so that it will never go away
and it won’t come off our hearts.
God is as creative as a potter making pots.
God is the Light of the world
because He lights our path
and leads us
while we are following Him.
My stems flash like fire.
Every bird knows my branches are good resting places.
My branches blaze hotter than the sun.
My leaves are falling off for the autumn.
I am free.
I bend down to the mouse.
I am very unique because of my color,
So you can tell who I am even in the winter.
I am the red twig dogwood.
